Ranger ideas
I have a mesmer for interupts and a sin for Barrage. I've tried so many times to make a good ranger but I find that when I focus on one thing, something else greatly suffers with their skills. Maybe there's some trick to them I haven't found. Can't seem to think of a good PvE build that's fun and good.

Well, there's always beastmaster builds, and you could go oldschool with one of the pre-made PvP builds that actually work excellent in PvE. (I'm thinking IVEX Trapper.)

I run this for my Ranger in HM:
Marksmanship: 10+1+3
Expertise: 11+1
Wilderness Survival: 10(+1)
[skill]Broad Head Arrow[/skill][skill]Distracting Shot[/skill][skill]Savage Shot[/skill][skill]Read The Wind[/skill][skill]Pin Down[/skill][skill]Natural Stride[/skill] [wiki]"Finish Him!"[/wiki] [wiki]Sunspear Rebirth Signet[/wiki]
No self-heal, because I run Sab's along with a Prot Monk and Healer Monk/Resto Rit, so I usually don't get struck. Cripple the melee monsters going for your backline, or almost any caster before you stick Dazed on 'em. "Finish Him!" is a general killer skill. I run this with a Flatbow, but if I had my Recurve Bow upgraded, I'd use it for better interrupting.
I used this build in the Norn Tournament + FA + JQ:
Marksmanship: 10+1+3
Expertise: 12+1
Wilderness Survival: 8(+1)
[skill]Burning Arrow[/skill][skill]Distracting Shot[/skill][skill]Screaming Shot[/skill] [wiki]Poison Tip Signet[/wiki] [wiki]Expert Focus[/wiki] [wiki]"You Move Like a Dwarf!"[/wiki] [skill]Lightning Reflexes[/skill][skill]Troll Unguent[/skill]
Replace "You Move Like a Dwarf!" with Pin Down in PvP.
Cripple your opponent, and then suck their life out with degen. It's versatile enough that you can move on from one enemy to the next every few seconds to keep spreading degen around.

That looks good, Shayne Hawke. But I don't know if it'd keep my interest. Are there any good builds based around Eye of the North? Thinking of going through Factions quickly to get over there. I do have a decent long bow as an end game item I might as well use.

RTW, Prepared Shot, D-Shot, Savage Shot, Rez and 3 PVE skills works quite well. Allows spamming of the pve skills you bring along.

It's true: BHA + Epidemic. That's fills up the mesmer interupt hero slot for something, well, better tbh. AoE Daze + Barrage = lolwtfpwnt.

"On Your Knees" stance hammer actualy works extreamly well. You can run Backbreaker or even better, Earth Shaker, and even throw in "You Move Like a Dwarf" for emergency KDs. Dryder's Defense and Lightning Reflexes are just wicked usefull stances.
